It was under this heading that Intermediar recently published an inquiry on the academic background of corporate leaders and supervisors of AEX-quoted firms. The magazine draws the conclusion that Rotterdam is the principal supplier, and “most of these corporate leaders studied economics”. The distinguishing factors are that Rotterdam students build up a great network of contacts and tend to take more initiative. The latter follows from the number of companies founded by graduates.
