International Women’s Day on Friday 8 March celebrates the position of women in society.
Quiz and lunch!
This year’s event, themed Inspire, Connect and Celebrate Women, was a quiz about women who stand out, and a lunch in the Erasmus Pavilion theatre.
Pay it forward
Everyone - students and staff, male and female - was invited. We asked for a small participant’s fee of € 4.50 for this event, which has been donated to the project 'Fiets Mee!'. This project encourages women in the south of Rotterdam to ride bicycles, offering them a way to have independent activities. That’s why it has an empowering function. We have raised 266,00 Euros for this project!
The Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) firmly supports diversity and inclusion in its workforce and EUR’s celebration of International Women’s Day complements this policy.
