Proficiency in English; admission International Bachelor Econometrics and Operations Research
Proficiency in English is compulsory and must be proven before a request for admission is made. The results from either a TOEFL test or an IELTS test must be submitted. For the Econometrics programme, the required minimum score for the computerized test is 213 and for the internet-based test is 80. The required minimum score for the academic IELTS test is 6.0.
For Chinese nationals, the IELTS test is obligatory. A sufficient result (score 6.0) for this test is needed if you wish to obtain the ‘NESO certificate’. You will need this certificate in order to enter the accelerated visa procedure. TOEFL is not accepted by NESO. You are exempted from an English test if
- English is your native language and you have obtained your secondary school diploma in one of the following countries: Australia, Canada (with the exception of Quebec), Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom or the United States of America.
- English was your first language during your secondary education for at least 21/2 years in one of the above mentioned countries.
