Programme Year 3
The third year offers a great deal of choice. You choose your major specialisation, which influences your other courses choices for this year. You can study abroad at one of our partner universities. You also pick your minor. You can choose from the minors on offer at the School of Economics, or at other schools of Erasmus University, such as the School of Law, the School of Business or the School of Psychology.
The Bachelor Econometrics and Operations Research comprises four specialisations
- Econometrics
- Operations Research and Quantitative Logistics
- Quantitative Finance
- Quantitative Marketing
A major in Econometrics means that you concentrate on issues in micro, macro or monetary economics. The first three majors relate to solving problems for a specific field of business economics.

At the end, each group presents its research report to the other groups.
You can use blocks 1 and 2 to study abroad at one of our partner universities. The courses you follow abroad should cover the obligatory courses in our own programme, i.e., the “Major Course Economics” and “Game Theory and its Applications”.
