Summer 2012: works building H / Etude closed | |||
On Monday 3 September, building C will reopen its doors. During summer, the audiovisual equipment and furnishings will be installed. Due to reconstructions, the stairwells and corridors connecting buildings H and C (ground floor and 1st floor) will be closed from 9 July to 1 September. Read more>> | |||

Mr Dick Pakkert – former youth worker and present-day director of live music café Rotown and café restaurant De Unie, both in Rotterdam – is the Student Pavilion’s new director. He and his team are busy dreaming up a superb programming for this style icon of the university’s. ‘There’ll never be a dull moment!’ Read more>> | |||
Restoration C completed! | |||
On Friday 29 June, the building constructor completed building C’s restoration. Over the summer, the finishing touches will be applied and the building will be stylishly furnished, to reopen its doors on 3 September. Read more>> | |||
Spacious staff bicycle park virtually ready | |||
EUR staff that’s biking it may have to make do a bit right now – but halfway through 2013, this will be more than made up for. Underneath square C, a roomy, light bicycle park has been built, with about 240 spaces for staff bikes. A bonus for the environment are the 40 charging points for e-bikes. Read more>> | |||
Shell car park finished | |||
Over the past months, the main building contractor of the car park BAM has been working hard on the concrete shell of the car park's 1st phase. No less than 10,000 m3 of concrete and 1 million kilogrammes of steel were used to build the shell. Around 600 cars will be parked here in the near future. Read more>> | |||
... and now, for sunshine. LOTS of it! | |||
In the week of June 25, no less than 192 solar panels were installed on the roof of the newly restored building C. On a yearly basis, the 290 m² of solar panels are expected to yield 45,880 kWh of electricity. This means that on average, building C will be supplying itself with 2 months’ worth of renewable energy each year. Read more>> | |||
