'From car park to bats'

Erasmus Universiteit RotterdamThe observant eye has been able to spot Marjolein Geerards – project manager Outdoor Space – at Erasmus Facility Services (EFB) as far back as 2008, but really, she’s ‘on loan’: ‘From Res & Smit, Amsterdam real estate advisors. Res & Smit provide support for real estate projects. We do advice, project management and development – both for commercial and (semi-) governmental parties. What we’re doing for EFB classifies as area development, for which we provide advice and project management.’ Read more>>

Rejuvenation cure C-building: start countdown

Erasmus Universiteit RotterdamOn 1 June, the starting shot will be given for the restoration of the 41-year-old C-building. In roughly a year’s time, the building will receive a complete rejuvenation cure. Not only will it get modern and colourful furnishings, its technical installations will be replaced, and insulation and a green roof will render the monument much more sustainable. Read more>>

Relocation ICT: lounging and improved communication

Before, SSC ICT was working from a number of different locations. Because of the new organizational structure with Shared Service Centres, the need was felt to have a single location for each department.  Read more>>

May: party-time!

Erasmus Universiteit RotterdamOpposite the M-building, there is now the brand spanking new V-building, which has just been put into use. By May time, the entire former shopping street of the C-building is to be found there. June will see 7 lecture rooms being added. It goes without saying that this new kid on the block will be opened festively. And there is going to be a party in the C-building, too! Read more>>

Successful relocation campus trees

Erasmus University RotterdamIt couldn’t not be noticed: the looks of Woudestein campus have changed considerably over the past few months. To allow for the construction of the new campus heart, 180 trees had to go down. Fortunately, there is also good news: 71 trees were able to be preserved for Woudestein and replanted. These were mainly sycamore, lime and alder trees.  Read more>>

Erasmus Universiteit RotterdamErasmus Facility Services (EFB) and the department of Marketing & Communications (SMC) have designed 3 signs about the campus of 2015. On them, students, staff and visitors can find information on all projects that will have been realized by 2015. They include inspiring artist’s impressions. Read more>>
