Raising surface Institutenlaan

Institutenlaan will be one the two new main road axes on Woudestein campus. To even out the difference in level from the new car park, the lane’s surface will be raised. A ‘retaining wall’ around the H terrace and halfway alongside Institutenlaan will keep the quantity of soil needed in place.
The construction of the retaining wall has commenced on 16 January and should take about 7 weeks. During its construction, terrace H will remain accessible via a temporary flight of stairs on the side of Institutenlaan. All offices on the side of Institutenlaan will remain accessible.
For the retaining wall’s foundation, piles will be bored into the ground. These works shall start on 23 January and are expected to cause less nuisance than previously the pile-driving did.
Should you have any questions or suggestions, please mail them to campusinontwikkeling@efb.eur.nl, or check www.eur.nl/tomorrowscampus.
Our apologies for any nuisance.
