The G-building is equipped with pc’s with printing facilities in pc-rooms, meeting studios, Hotspots and plug-ins for your laptop. All of this is available for all students of the Erasmus University regardless the discipline. The G-building opens at 8.30 and closes at 17.00 hours. Reservations for meeting studios can be made at the desk on G1-39, by telephone (010-4082484), or by mail (studiezalen@remove-this.ict.eur.nl). The pc-rooms can be found on the grond floor (2) and first floor (4). The meeting studios are situated on the grond floor, first and third floor. Although the old Library, now a non speaking area (ground floor), is meant for study, a laptop can also be used in this room. In the old Smitse (grond floor) are machines for coffee, soft drinks and snacks. Here students can also work in groups, and use a laptop. The ground floor and first floor in the building are equipped with wireless internet and/or plug-in points for your laptops.

PC'S SETUP

All desktop PCs have the standard office applications (MS-Office), access to the University Library and to the internet, including web-mail. To use a PC you don’t have to log in, but logging in is necessary for the use of certain library services or the internet (for instance Blackboard or SIN Online).

PC WORKPLACES

The rooms are accessible for all students of the university. Only the students card must be shown when asked.
Particular attention has been given to the ergonomic design of the workplaces; there are special chairs and the monitors are adjustable in height and rotation. In every room two computer tables are electrically adjustable in height; students with a disability or of exceptional build are given priority there. In G1-11 there are two computers at arm level for fast work, taking less than ten minutes.
