Language tests for students

Is your English good enough to enrol for an English Master’s degree programme? Which course level of Spanish is appropriate for you?

Take a language test at the Language & Training Centre (LTC)!

We offer two types of language tests:

This test will help you to decide which language course you should take. Alternatively, you can use the result of this test to show your faculty that you have the required language level to, for example, study abroad for six months. The test results are expressed as a level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). Read more about the intakes.

If you take an intake test and then register for a language course in the following course period, you will receive a full refund of the intake costs (€55.00)!

This test determines your current level of English (expressed in a score between 310 and 677). This test is ideal for students who would like to take part in a Master’s degree programme taught in English, or go on an international exchange. Please note that the test results are only valid at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Before you register, please ensure that your degree programme (or the programme you would like to enrol in) at Erasmus University accepts this test result. Read more about the ITP-TOEFL test.

Please note: You can not use the test results of an ITP-TOEFL to register for a language course at the LTC. You need to do an intake for our language courses.

You can register for the language course intake and the ITP-TOEFL at the web shop.

Dyslexic students can get extra time for the language tests. If you wish to have the extra time, you have to contact us as soon as you register for a test. We can then make the necessary arrangements. You'll be asked to send a copy of your dyslexia assessment to us.
