International student panel
These last years, the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) is rapidly becoming a desirable destination for international students who want to develop their academic skills.
In order to cater to international students to the best of our ability and make them feel welcome and at home in Rotterdam, an International Student Panel (ISP) has been founded.
Goal
The ISP is solely for international students (Bachelor, Masters and exchange). In order to provide you with the best possible services, we want to know what your experiences are as an international student. The ISP plays an important role in improving the quality of services provided by the Erasmus University. Also, it will be a good source of information on how to better cater to future international students and how we can better prepare their welcome. Participants of the ISP are students from every faculty as well as staff members from the Department of Student Affairs. The head of the department, Mr. Joop Matthijsse, is chairman of the ISP.
Participants
The panel consists of a maximum of 20 students: two students per faculty. We are looking for enthusiastic students from every faculty who wish to contribute to the welfare of other foreign students.
We are currently looking for students from EMC, FSW and FW.
The university department organising the ISP is the Department of Student Affairs. The Department of Student Affairs provides services to students, faculties and staff. Almost every aspect of the student life cycle (matriculation, exams and information) is provided by the Department of Student Affairs.
Duration: minimum one academic year (except for exchange students)
Meetings per year: 3
Stipend: € 40 per meeting (you have to be present and actively participate in the meeting).
Participants for the ISP are selected based on their study programme and motivation.
