Immigration procedures for international students

Are you a new international student coming to the Netherlands from outside the EU/EEA? Please follow this link to information about the visa and residence permit application procedures.

Current international students studying in the Netherlands with a temporary residence may have to extend their permit if they are continuing their studies after their permit expires.

Are you already residing in the Netherlands based on a temporary residence permit issued for another purpose than study and are you enrolling in a study programme at EUR? In that case you might need to apply for a Change of Purpose.

Tuberculosis Check

Depending on your nationality you might have to take a tuberculosis check upon your arrival in the Netherlands.

International students need to undergo a tuberculosis check if they do not have one of the following nationalities: EU/EEA countries, Australia, Canada, Israeli, Japan, Monaco, New Zealand, Surinam, Swiss, the United States and Vatican City.
