Opening a Dutch bank account

International students who want to open a Dutch bank account can do so at several banks.

ABN AMRO
The ABN AMRO bank has a bank shop on both university campuses. You can read more about the application procedure and information on how to open an account.

ING
Another bank where you could open a Dutch account is ING bank. More information can be found at the ING-bank website (only in Dutch). At this bank you need your BSN-number, but you will instantly open your bank account and instantly receive your bank card. However, this bank does not have a bank shop on the university's campus.

Rabobank
Another bank where you could open a Dutch account is Rabobank (only in Dutch). At this bank you also need your BSN-number to open an account and it takes approximately 2 weeks before you receive your bank card and before you can use your bank account. Rabobank also doesn't have a bank shop on campus.
