Orientation activities for international students
We are offering a number of services to all international students starting their studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam in August/September 2012. These include a buddy programme, a pick up service from Schiphol Airport, coffee hours, campus tours and a practical information market where you will be able to find information about several practicalities you might have to deal with upon your arrival in the Netherlands.
You are invited to attend these orientation activities for newly arrived international (and in some cases, Dutch) students. Participation in these activities is optional but highly recommended. By taking part in these activities you will have the opportunity to meet fellow students, learn to find your way around the campus and get to feel at home in Rotterdam!
Please register for the activities, in order for us to arrange the right amount of catering, buddies, etc.
Advised arrival dates
Participants in the intensive Dutch course in August 2012 are advised to arrive in Rotterdam at the latest at the end of July.
International students who are participating in the central introduction activities in August are advised to arrive in Rotterdam mid August 2012.
Please note that your faculty also organises orientation activities and that participation in these activities might be compulsory. So make sure to be there when they start!
Start your visa procedure well in time
Would you like to take part in these orientation activities? Please be aware that you might need an entry visa/MVV and that it takes time to get this arranged. We strongly advise students who need an entry visa/MVV in order to travel to the Netherlands to start the visa application process well in advance.
