Cheating and plagiarism

In assignments, theses and exams

Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) sets high standards for academic education. These standards include a strict policy on cheating since lecturers are unable to form an accurate assessment of the knowledge, understanding and skills of a student who cheats.

Cheating is an offence. Anyone who cheats is breaking the rules of the university, and may even be breaking the law. Plagiarism is theft. Plagiarists steal another person’s intellectual property for their own benefit.

Cheating or plagiarism: it won't make you a better student!
