Translating in English
The Marketing & Communication department has made arrangements with four translation agencies for translating mainly Dutch texts into English.
It has been agreed with these agencies that they will use ‘permanent’ staff for the EUR. Translators are all familiar with the academic terminology. Of course translations are possible in other languages.
The tariff applying to all agencies is € 0.19 per word (Dutch - English).
For text revision or a second opinion on existing (English) texts the tariff at Wordsmiths and at Regeer is € 75 per hour; at Business Translation Services (BTS) € 65 per hour.
By preference texts should be supplied digitally, per document and with a 1.5 line spacing. In many instances a minimum job rate applies:
Wordsmith € 50, Regeer € 40 and BTS € 65.
Separate arrangements have been made with the Overtaal agency.
