University Ceremonies
At the EUR the University Ceremonies office is responsible for carrying out and assisting with the administrative procedures for the doctorate on behalf of the rector magnificus. The office organises and prepares the academic ceremonies, such as doctorate conferrals, inaugural addresses, valedictory lectures, graduations and the awarding of certificates, the opening of the academic year and the celebration of the university's founding, Dies Natalis. The office plays an advisory role in other university events, such as the awarding of prizes and decorations, and lectures. University Ceremonies is also responsible for the academic rituals.
