English
The English evening classes have been developed specifically for students who would like to take part in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme that is taught in English. These courses are classified according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). For a rough comparison of the CEF-levels with other English language exams please see this table.
These courses consist of ten weekly sessions of 2,5 hours each. The final exam will take place after the course on a predetermined date (see course descriptions). Course participants are expected to spend approx. three hours a week on course preparation and self-study.
Apart from the evening classes mentioned above, a Cambridge Course is also offered. At the end of this course the CAE or the CPE examination can be taken, organised around the world by Cambridge University. The CAE and the CPE certificate are internationally recognised by universities, educational institutions and employers. The Cambridge Course consists of 27 (weekly) session of three hours each. Course participants are expected to spend approx. three hours a week on course preparation and self-study. The results of the intake determine which of the courses (CAE of CPE) will start.
Apart from the evening classes mentioned above, English Crash courses are offered in August. These are intensive three-week courses taught during the day.
The groups are small: the minimum number of participants is 10, the maximum 16.
