Microcredits are an efficient instrument in the fight against extreme poverty, enabling the poor themselves to actively participate in this fight; it is also one in the fight for gender equality, as it is usually women who are beneficiaries of these programmes; this permits their economic and social enrichment as well as increases their self-esteem and the education of their children.
