If you are planning on studying in the Netherlands you might need a visa. Whether you need a visa depends on your personal situation. Generally speaking, EU citizens do not need a visa. Most Non-European citizens DO need a visa.
For more information on visa requirements please visit the immigration section on our Welcome site.
Non-European students who come to the Netherlands for study may also need a residence permit (VVR). To obtain such a permit you will have to prove that you have enough money to cover your entire stay (living expenses excluding tuition fees). The Dutch ministry of Justice has set standard amounts for this purpose.
