Specialisation Urban social development
This joint programme of IHS and the Social Science Faculty of Erasmus University Rotterdam enables the analysis and development of social policies based on new social development paradigms. On a global scale we can determine that social development is an important aspect of sustainable urban policies, contributing greatly to the well being of individual citizens and to the development of their potential, living conditions, safety and ecomomic potential of the city.This specialisation will focus on urban social development as an instrument for reducing urban poverty and social inequality.
