Established in 1859, the Rotterdamsch Leeskabinet (‘Reading Room)’ is an association’s library. Its collections include novels, history, art, biographies, philosophy and theology. Various other categories (including crime stories and travel guides) are collected as well. Furthermore, the Leeskabinet staff organises literary and cultural activities. The library keeps approximately 250,000 volumes. Both the association’s members and all staff and students of Erasmus University may borrow library material.
