Studium Generale organises lectures, debates and workshops on scientific, social and cultural issues. Erasmus Cultuur organises a wide rang of cultural activities and courses. Erasmus Cultuur also offers tickets for concerts, theatrical, comedy and dance productions with student discounts.

The rich countries of the west are facing a transition of enormous consequence during the next several decades—towards much more diverse societies.  Demography will be the driver, as the huge post-World War II baby-boom group leaves the active years and is replaced by far more diverse and frequently smaller cohorts of young adults.  This population switchover will present both challenges and opportunities.
