For Poetry Day 2011 the chairman of the executive board Mrs Pauline van der Meer Mohr read the poem If by Rudyard Kipling.
Last Thursday of January
On Thursday January 26 the Dutch poetry day takes place. On that day everywhere in the Netherlands and Flanders poetry will be heard and read: in libraries and bookshops, but also in bars and on trains, in shops, on the street and in school. So the Erasmus University Rotterdam cannot be missing out!
On this day just like in the previous years Studium Generale and Erasmus Cultuur want all colleges on this university to start with the recitation of a poem. By the teacher or professor, by a student or by an actor. You get the chance of sharing your favorite or self-written poem with others.
