Student Affairs

The Student Affairs (SV) department of SSC Education, Research and Student Affairs combines various types of work, in which the student is the connecting factor. The activities of the department are organised in a number of sections and a few projects, each with its own objectives and tasks.

Mission
The mission of SV is:
‘By providing information, advice and support to future, present and graduating Dutch, multicultural and international students, we wish to contribute to successful social and academic integration, as a result of which students will successfully finish their studies within a reasonable period of time. Providing information about the (financial) possibilities to study abroad and organising cultural, personally enriching and community-related activities support the broad education of students. Using a professional approach as a basic principle, we take into account the demand for our services from students, faculties and the university.’

Supporting
SV therefore has a supporting and service-providing function, whereby the department provides customised solutions where possible on the basis of its own professional expertise. All sections keep an open eye on information provision, internationalisation and cooperation with students and student organisations, faculties, other Shared Service Centres and central staff departments.
