The student administration / examination administration department handles a large part of the logistical preparations and the administration of written examinations. It ensures that enough suitable examination rooms are available and that there are enough questions on the examination. The examination administration also ensures that examinations are administered according to the (general) rules of order. Invigilators and possibly a head invigilator are used for this (for examinations in the MB buildings).
Reports about the course of examinations are prepared for the examining boards; these also include possible observations of fraud. The handling of fraud is a task for the examining board in question. After examinations have finished, the answers are submitted to the lecturer.
Finally, the examination administration has developed a procedure in the event of a weather alarm. It then assesses together with the faculty in question whether the examinations for that day should be cancelled and informs students and lecturers about this.
