Education and Research Prize

The Education and Research Prize has been awarded annually since 1987 to people who have made exceptional and deserving efforts in the area of education or research at our university. The cash prize of €7,000 – for both disciplines – is made available by the Trust Fund Association of Erasmus University Rotterdam. The winner is free to decide how he/she would like to spend the prize money.

Who is eligible for this prize?

The Education prize is awarded to a member of the academic faculty who has made a positive contribution to education at Erasmus University Rotterdam through teaching or other activities related to education.

The Research prize is intended for a promising holder of a doctorate degree who has made an extraordinary achievement in research and who is at the beginning of his/her research career (within three years after having received the doctorate).
