This implies that energy firms compete in price and in absorbing the risks from changes in the prices of energy contracts. Therefore, proper portfolio management and risk management will be the key to survivorship and success.

After this course, participants may expect to have obtained a thorough understanding of key issues in portfolio and risk management, derivative valuation and asset valuation in the current international energy markets
