Clement Levallois, trained as an economist in Ecole Normale Superieure de Cachan in France (2001), turned to the study of the recent relationships between economics and biology (PhD, Universite de Lyon, 2008). A member of the EconomiX-Cachan (H2S) group directed by Pr. Philippe Fontaine, he is particularly interested in the interplay between theoretical science and its cultural context. His first publication (2009) provides a reconsideration of a founding article in evolutionary economics by Armen Alchian, in the new light of the Cold War context, history of statistics and new biographical elements.

After two years in visiting positions at the London School of Economics and City University London (2007-2008), Clement’s current research at VKS focuses on neuroeconomics: its recent emergence and its social meaning.
