Rob Timans is an economist and sociologist, and is currently a PhD student at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is working on the project The Transformation of Large Dutch Corporations, in which new approaches to the study of the business elites are explored. Part of the project entails setting up a data base of the top executives and directors of the largest Dutch firms. In the second part of the project, the effect of the new approach on the knowledge dynamics in the field will be studied.
The project is supervised by Johan Heilbron and Paul Wouters.
