Research Advisory Committee (VCW)
The Research Advisory Committee (in Dutch: VCW) advises the dean about the school’s academic policy. In this context the committee advises about the school’s research programme and the division of research resources. The committee also advises about preparations for a research assessment and the measures that are taken as a result of this assessment.
In addition, the committee has an advisory role in allocating places for PhD-students and in granting additional funding for research (promotions and fellowship tracks, top researchers, KNAW and EUR fellowships and research awards).
