Research

Yingqian Zhang is an assistant professor at the Deparment of Econometrics. She received her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Manchester in 2005. Before coming to the Erasmus University, she worked in the Algorithmics group at TU Delft, the Computational Intelligence group at TU Clausthal, and the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland. Her research interests lie in the areas of Game Theory and Artificial Intelligence. In particular, she is interested in auctions, algorithmic mechanism design, machine learning/data mining, and multi-agent optimization and coordination.

She serves on the program committee for several international conferences such as IJCAI (International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence), AAMAS (International Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems), MATES (German Conference on Multi-Agent System Technologies). She is a reviewer for several journals including Artificial Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on TKDE, Journal of Parallel Computing, Journal Distributed Computing.
