What can I do if I have failed to fulfil the obligatory attendance requirement?

You can request the Examination Board to validate your examination grade, if you have not attended enough tutorials because of circumstances beyond your control. You should not ask your lecturer to do this.

The Examination Board will make a decision about your request after you have done the examination and after you have not received a valid examination grade. Requests submitted before the examination has taken place or before the examination grades have been announced will not be taken in account.

Please contact a Study Adviser about the influences of personal circumstances in case you fear to get a negative Binding Study Advice.

Please notice: the Examination Board takes the whole period of your absence into account. For example: if you go on a holiday, thinking you can still attend 70% of the practicals, and you get ill afterwards, this will not be a reason for the Examination Board to fulfill your request.
