All students: Use of calculators

A lot of ESE examinations require the use of a calculator. Experience has shown that it becomes harder to distinguish between a normal scientific calculator, which is allowed, and a programmable calculator, which is not allowed.

The ESE has put together a list of calculators that are allowed during examinations. This means as from now students can only use a calculator that is mentioned on this list: using another calculator will be considered as being fraud.
Nb. On the cover sheet of each exam is stated if a calculator is allowed.

The calculators that are allowed are: FX-82SX Plus (Casio), FX-82MS (Casio), FX-350MS (Casio), TI-30Xa (Texas Instruments) and TI-30XS Multiview (Texas Instruments).
Most of these calculators are available in larger book stores and online as well.

For more information you can look at the online home page for students. In case of questions, students can contact the Information Desk on H6-02.
