All students: successful Cum Laude ceremony 2012
On Wednesday the 8th of February 2012, the annual Cum Laude ceremony of the Erasmus School of Economics was held. The ceremony was organised in association with the Vereniging Trustfonds of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, for those ESE students who finished their Bachelor-1 year with a weighted-average of 8.25 or higher. This year 30 students succeeded in meeting this requirement.
In a festive setting, the excellent students were addressed by the Dean of the ESE and the Honorary Secretary of the Vereniging Trustfonds of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. In the following, Dr. Bas Karreman gave an inspiring keynote address to the students with a clear and strong message. In his speech, dr. Karreman mainly spoke of challenging opportunities these students should take to get the best out of themselves. After the speech, the students received the Cum Laude Award and a motivational prize for their outstanding academic achievement by the Honorary Secretary of the Vereniging Trustfonds. The vice-dean of the ESE concluded the ceremony with a toast. All attendees can look back on a very successful ceremony. Check the Cum Laude website for photos and more information. We would like to take this opportunity to once again congratulate all Cum Laude students!
