Research

Michel van de Velden is an assistant professor at the Econometric Institute of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. His research interests concern development and application of visualization methods for multivariate data. Some of his recent publications appeared in Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, Food Quality and Preference and Psychometrika. Michel van de Velden obtained his PhD (cum laude) in 2000 at the University of Amsterdam. He was awarded a Grotius Grant and a Marie Curie Fellowships which allowed him to hold research positions at the University of Groningen and the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. Since 2004, he is a member of the Econometric Institute.
