ESE-bility Day on Tuesday 19 June 2012

Some of you may remember the day on the paddle steamer ‘De Majesteit’, a beautiful day with nice weather. We’ve got great respons about that day and everybody actually agreed that it’s nice to meet others of the ESE or just catch up with someone. For that reason we have decided to go again on a boat trip with the paddle steamer ‘De Majesteit’ on Tuesday 19 June 2012.

You will be welcome on board the paddle steamer 'De Majesteit' from 4.00 p.m. onwards. De Majesteit is moored on the Maasboulevard (no. 100), and has been one of the biggest and most luxurious paddle steamers in Europe since 1926.

In 1999, after spending decades crossing the continent as a cruise ship, it was transformed into a seagoing event location. For further information, visit www.raderstoomboot.nl.

At 4.30 p.m., the moorings will be cast off and the party will both metaphorically and literally set sail! Drinks and snacks (and a breathtaking view!) will be provided.

The boat will return to dock at 6.00 p.m. on the Maasboulevard to pick up any academic staff whose teaching commitments prevented them from attending from the very start.

The boat will then once again take to the water. There will be a hot and cold buffet ready.

De Majesteit will return to port for the final time at 9.00 p.m. to allow guests to disembark.

We hope to welcome as many of you as possible on board of De Majesteit. If you would like to attend, please register for the event via esebility@remove-this.ese.eur.nl before 8 June 2012 by filling in the confirmation of attendance below.

This will give us an idea of how many people will be attending and ensure that sufficient catering can be provided. Can you also let us know what time you will be on board (see schedule below)? You will receive further information about the logistics of the event in due course.
