Purchases

The IT department takes care of all the computer purchases of the Erasmus School of Economics (ESE).

This allows for a centralised efficient purchasing policy. All computer equipment will be maintained by the ESE IT department during its standard life cycle. 

Standard Configuration

Computer equipment will be available in a base configuration, which will be updated regularly to follow technical developments. With this configuration we try to maintain an optimal support level. While it is possible to select some extras and upgrades of this base configuration at a surcharge, we cannot provide adequate support for all user requests, so in case of special needs you’ll have to contact ESE IT support first.

The same applies to accessories, such as printers, scanners, PDAs, etc.

On-Site Warranty Service

For the standard computers there is a Next Business Day service agreement with the supplier during the four years life cycle. For laptops this service is available during the three years life cycle.

Please note that most accessories only have a one year guaranty period.

New print server for Windows 7 staff computers

will be activated this weekend (17 March)

Stata upgrade SE11 to version MP12

On Monday December 19th, Stata will be upgraded

Switch to Exchange Server during the weekend of 3-4 December

The ESE will switch to the SSC-I&CT Exchange server for its e-mails and electronic Calendar
