Scan and Backup Service
IT Support has made a PC available in room H04-32 to ESE users for scan- and backup purposes. No booking of the system is necessary, but please call (82324) to verify whether the system is free.
HP Scanjet 8270
- Perform fast document scanning at up to 25 ppm and load up to 50 pages into the automatic document feeder for unattended scans.
- Scan file formats Windows:
BMP, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, TIFF compressed, PNG, PCX, Flashpix (FPX), PDF, PDF searchable, RTF, HTM, TXT; Macintosh: TIFF, PICT, JPEG, GIF, FlashPix, Plain Text, PDF, HTML, Rich Text - Convert scanned documents into editable text, using included OCR software
- Adjust resolution to fit the job, from 150 dpi up to 4800 dpi for professional-quality images
Backup
It is a DVD-ROM (CDRW-DVD combo) drive with Nero software (version 6.6) installed to backup files to CDs and DVDs. CD-Recordable disks are available on site at € 5.00 each, although users are encouraged to bring their own.
