How to connect remotely to the ESE network faculties

How to connect remotely to the ESE network faculties ("My Documents" and "Staff Shared Files" at the ESE) on sytems where Microsoft Vista/XP is installed.

The ESE VPN service requires an authenticated and secured network channel to be established between your machine and the VPN server. This is achieved by using public key technology which involves acquiring a X.509 certificate from the ESE certificate authority.

Please follow the steps as described in these manuals for Microsoft Vista and XP operating systems to the letter to ensure a successful connection.
