All VWO profiles are eligible. However, for both the profiles Culture and Society and Economy and Society, additional requirements in maths are needed, see below:

Dutch students with a VWO Diploma with mathematics A (A1,2) but without the required mathematics B can take a mathematics test to show they have sufficient knowledge about mathematics. More information can be found below, under 'Mathematics Requirements'.

You are eligible for the first year of the bachelor programme if you have an equivalent diploma to the VWO diploma. This includes the following diplomas:

If you do not have a VWO diploma including mathematics B, you will need to demonstrate sufficient knowledge of mathematics in order to eligible for the programme. In these cases the Admission Office can require you to take the entrance test in mathematics.

The International Bachelor in Econometrics and Operational Research welcomes applicants whose intellectual ability, preliminary (international) education, international background and personal motivation will both benefit from and contribute to the learning environment of the programme. Therefore the international ambitions and background proven by the motivation letter will be advantageous in the selection procedure.

You are exempted from an English test if:

• You are a native English speaker and you have obtained your diploma in one of the following countries: Australia, Canada (with the exception of Quebec), New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States of America.
• English was your first language during your secondary school education for at least 2,5 years in one of the above mentioned countries.
• You have a Dutch VWO diploma and English was one of your exam subjects.
• You have a four year Dutch HBO degree diploma including the English language in your curriculum.
• You have an International Baccalaureate or European Baccalaureate and English was one of your exam subjects.
• You have an Abitur with English as Grundfach, Prüfungsfach or Leistungsfach.

Please note: the Examination Board makes the final decision on granting you an exemption from English language test.

You can take the online math entrance exam at your current school in your country of residence. These international tests take place in February, March, April and May. You will receive instructions about these tests and registration following your application.
