Application procedure

If you would like to apply for Erasmus Colleges provided by the Erasmus School of Economics, please follow the procedure below.

1. Select courses

First you have to select the subjects of your interest. You can find an overview of the offered subjects in our course guide. Specific information concerning the lecturers, the content, the timetable and the required literature can be found in the course pages.

Bachelor- or Master courses

Bachelor Courses

You can choose among all English spoken Bachelor subjects and courses provided by the Erasmus School of Accounting and Assurance (ESAA). Courses of ESAA are identified by an attached ‘A’ to the course code. Note: The attendance obligation does not apply to Erasmus Colleges students, however it is strongly recommended to attend the lectures and tutorials. In some courses a part of the grade is determined by assignments or tests presented in the tutorial.

Master Courses

In order to be admitted to a Master course, your academic background should be sufficient. By means of your resume and motivation letter the Examination Board will decide whether or not to grant you admission. You could send your resume and motivation letter to erasmuscolleges@remove-this.ese.eur.nl

2. Subscribe for Courses

Bachelor Courses

In order to subscribe for courses of your interest, you have to hand in this application form (pdf) three weeks before the start of the course. The costs of Bachelor courses are €100 per ECTS credit and an amount of €35 per year to cover the administration costs. Please attach your passport, the completed authorisation for direct debit and a pass photo to the application form and send the package to the following address:

If you have been registered as a student at the Erasmus University Rotterdam before, a copy of your student card is sufficient. By means of your application form the Examination Board will review whether or not you meet the requirements of the specific Bachelor-level course(s). If you are not sure about the sufficiency of your background, you could contact Erasmus Colleges via e-mail. The Examination Board will notify you whether you are admitted to take the Bachelor course(s) within two weeks after receiving your application form. As soon as the Examination Board has approved your application, you are registered as Erasmus College student and your direct debit will be activated. Apart from that, it could take approximately 4 weeks before you receive your student card, username and password.

Master Courses

As of September 2006 the Erasmus School of Economics offers the possibility to take Master courses via Erasmus Colleges. The costs of Master courses are €3000 per subject and an amount of €35 per year to cover the administration costs. Before applying you have to make your interest clear by sending an e-mail to Erasmus Colleges (erasmuscolleges@remove-this.ese.eur.nl). Please make the Master course of your interest explicit and attach your motivation and resume. By means of your resume and motivation letter the Examination Board, after consultation of the professor or lecturer involved, decides whether or not to grant you admission. When you are admitted, you receive an application form by postal mail. You will be registered as Erasmus College student within two weeks after the receipt of your application form.

3. Procedure after enrolment

When you are registered as an Erasmus College student, you have access to all facilities of the Erasmus School of Economics. The Erasmus School of Economics uses several information systems to communicate with students. The most important information systems are SIN-Online, Blackboard and OSIRIS. It is important that you get used to these information systems, since you have to consult these systems during your study. Furthermore, as Erasmus College student you have access to
