Provisional Residence Permit (Entry VISA) and Temporary Residence Permit

Find out to which group your nationality belongs. Then you can see what kind of Residence Permit you need. The Provisional Residence Permit needs to be arranged before your arrival in the Netherlands and can take up till 6 weeks before it is approved. The Temporary Residence Permit needs to be arranged when you have arrived in the Netherlands.

Note:

  1. If you need an extension of your Residence Permit you need to apply for by yourself.
  2. If you need to change your purpose of stay (for instance different University) you also need to change this yourself.
