The bachelor's exam
You have definitely passed the bachelor's exam Economics and Business Economics if you have obtained a satisfactory grade for all exam subjects of that bachelor's exam. If you fulfil this requirement you should request your bachelor's exam. This doesn't happen automatically.
In some cases you can graduate with a limited number of unsatisfactory grades (fives) for exam subjects, but only if these grades can be compensated. Read more about the conditions for compensation.

Bachelor's thesis
The bachelor's exam is generally completed with a final interview on the contents of the bachelor's thesis in the room of the thesis supervisor, in the presence of a reader (a lecturer of the programme). This interview can take place after the thesis supervisor considers the bachelor's thesis of a satisfactory level.
At the end of this final interview the thesis supervisor and reader formally establish the grade for the bachelor's thesis.

Requesting the bachelor's exam
Students Economics and Business Economics who think they have met all study obligations of their bachelor's programma, can report to the desk of the Department for Exam Administration (room EB-41) in order to request the bachelor's exam. You must be registered as a bachelor student.
If the corresponding bachelor's programme has indeed been completed, and the approved thesis has been stored in the Digital Thesis Archive of the EUR, a bachelor's degree certificate and a grade list will be made up, as well as the judicium.
The date at which the bachelor's exam is requested, is also the official date of graduation.
Presentation of the degree certificate
You can receive your bachelor's diploma in two different ways:
- One option is that you collect the bachelor's degree certificate and the grade list a few weeks after the request at the desk of the Department for Exam Administration.
- The other option is you receive the bachelor's degree certificate and the grade list at a later point in time, during a festive plenary presentation of degree certificates. This plenary graduation day usually takes place in the fall.
