Offer
The ESE offers bachelor-1 students several workshops in effective studying, planning and text studying. These workshops are only open for ESE students. The following courses will take place in the upcoming academic year.

In addition, the Language and Training Centre of the EUR offers many workshops for students and staff of the EUR throughout the year. The LTC has a large offer of courses in the field of study skills.
Study Skills Trainings
Several Study Skills Trainings will be offered in block 3 and 4. These trainings are set up for first-year ESE students who have obtained disappointing results in the first blocks and/or who have trouble finding the right study method.
There are two different trainings:
1. Study Planning Group: you will be guided in making a decent study planning and watching your study progress during six meetings of an hour. You will learn to keep track of your study progress with the help of a scheme. Group members will learn to motivate each other and themselves and will work on their study discipline.
2. Effective Studying Group: this is a combination of the study planning group with text studying. During four meetings of three hours you will work on making a study planning and keeping track of you study progress, as well as learn how to study texts effectively and make good summaries.

An information meeting will take place in January, to inform you about the content of the trainings and to announce the course schedule. You can apply for a training after the meeting.
If you cannot attend the information meeting, but want to attend a training anyway, please contact a study adviser. The study adviser can still register you for a training. You can make an appointment with a study adviser through the Information Deks in H6-02, tel: 010-4081380. Please mention that you want an intake for a study skills training.
Please notice that there are limited places available. If all groups are full, you can still apply for a study skills tranining of the EUR via the Language and Training Centrre. Though the content of the courses will be similar, a small fee will be demanded for the LTC courses. ESE courses are free for bachelor-1 students. Please check the website of the LTC for more information.
