Judicium exam
The judicium for the exam is established by the examination board. The judicium is calculated as the with the corresponding credits weighted average of the final results for all exam subjects. No judicium is established if exemption has been granted from more than 40% of the exam subjects.
There are two judicia:
- Cum Laude
The weighted average of first obtained valid grades is at least 8.25 and the thesis is graded at least 8.0. - Summa Cum Laude
The weighted average of first obtained valid grades is at least 9.0 and the thesis is graded at least 9.0.
NB. The judicia 'satisfactory', 'fair' and 'good' will no longer be awarded.
Transition regulation
For the judicia 'Cum Laude' and 'Summa Cum Laude' a course-based transition regulation applies.
For courses of which the first valid grade in OSIRIS is obtained before 01 September 2011 the highest grade is taken into account while establishing the judicium, even if the highest grade is obtained after 01 September 2011.
For courses of which the first valid grade in OSIRIS is obtained as from 01 September 2011 the first obtained grade is taken into account while establishing the judicium.
