Requesting the master's exam
Master students Economics and Business, Accounting, Auditing and Control, Fiscal Economics, Economics and Informatics, or Econometrics and Management Science who think they have met all study obligations, can report to the desk of the Department for Exam Administration (room EB-41) in order to request a session of the thesis committee for the master's exam. With this request you are to submit three copies of the approved master's thesis. Furthermore, you need to make sure that all results of courses (both partial grades and final grades) are in the possession of the department in time.
If the relevant master's programme has indeed been completed, and the approved thesis is stored in the Digital Thesis Archive of the EUR, a session of the thesis committee is scheduled. This committee is authorised to establish a grade for the thesis. Generally, it consists of the thesis supervisor and a lecturer of one of the master's courses followed.
Please note: The session takes place approximately 4 weeks after request of the master's exam.
More information can be found on the website of the Dep. for Exam Administration.

If graduation takes place in September, 31 August will be the official date of graduation.
In connection with for example the student grant it is important for a lot of students that they graduate before the end of a certain academic year, that is before 1 September of the following academic year. These students are strongly recommended to contact the Department for Exam Administration in time. For the academic year 2010/2011 this means that the request for a session of the thesis committee must be submitted to the Department for Exam Administration on Thursday 18 August 2011 at the latest.
