Successful Cum Laude Award ceremony

On Wednesday, February 8th 2012, the annual Cum Laude Ceremony of the Erasmus School of Economics was held. The ceremony was organised in association with the Vereniging Trustfonds of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, for those ESE students who finished their Bachelor-1 year with a weighted-average of 8.25 or higher.
In a festive setting, the excellent students were addressed by Dean Philip Hans Franses and the Honorary Secretary of the Vereniging Trustfonds of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, Reinoud Rijntjes. In the following, Assistant Professor Bas Karreman gave an inspiring keynote address to the students with a clear and strong message. In his speech, Karreman mainly spoke of challenging opportunities these students should take to get the best out of themselves. After the speech, the students received the Cum Laude Award and a motivational prize for their outstanding academic achievement. Vice dean Ivo Arnold concluded the ceremony with a toast. All attendees can look back on a very successful ceremony.
