Dennis Fok appointed as endowed Professor of Applied Econometrics
As of 1 July 2012, Dr Dennis Fok has been appointed as endowed Professor of Applied Econometrics at the Econometric Institute of the Erasmus School of Economics (ESE) through the Erasmus Trustfonds EUR.
Dennis Fok obtained his doctorate cum laude in 2003 from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Afterwards he has been an Assistant Professor at the Econometrics department of the same university, since 2008 he is an Associate Professor. Dennis Fok is a member of the research schools ERIM and Tinbergen Institute. At ERIM he has been elected as high performance researcher since 2007.
In his research Dennis Fok focuses on the development and application of new quantitative techniques for actual (business) problems. In particular he is interested in modeling detailed (business) data on consumers and firms in order to gather strategic insights for firms, consumers, and policy makers.
His papers have been published in top journals in econometrics, such as, the Journal of Econometrics and the Journal of Applied Econometrics and in top journal in the domain of quantitative marketing, such as Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science and International Journal of Marketing Research
