Research

Jolanda Hessels is assistant professor at the department of Applied Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She also has a position as researcher at the Strategic Research department of EIM Business and Policy Research in Zoetermeer. Jolanda obtained her PhD in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research interests include the internationalization of small and new ventures, the role of foreign direct investment as a source of knowledge spillovers, and the relation between entrepreneurship, institutions and economic development.
