Career perspectives
This Master’s Program prepares you for a range of careers in which theoretically informed analysis and critical assessment of research findings are essential requirements. This may be a career in Public Administration and Organization Science research, beginning with PhD research. It may be a career as researcher with a research institute or international think tank, a professional organization or government institution. Many of our students become policy advisors or public management consultants.

Career orientation support
During the second year special attention is given to career orientation support. From the beginning of the programme announcements of job vacancies and PhD positions offered by research schools and affiliate departments in the Netherlands and abroad have been circulated among the cohorts of research master’s students. Students interested in such possibilities frequently contact senior researchers/teachers to discuss their interest and suitability. A professional career coach agency was contracted and a career orientation programme consisting of a personality test and four individual career sessions are offered to students.
